Henry Edward Beavers – Tunnelton
Henry Edward Beavers, 74, of Tunnelton, passed away at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday at his home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be in Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Will Weldon Mathews – Las Cruces
Will Weldon Mathews, 72, of Las Cruces, NM, formerly of Lawrence Co., IN, died at his residence on May 1, 2015.
Born March 1, 1943, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Russell B. Mathews and Ethela Gail Fields Mathews.
He married Gail Jackson on September 14, 1991; and she survives.
He was a graduate of Shawswick High School with the Class of 1961; he held a mechanical engineering degree from GMI and an MBA from Indiana University; he worked for Powertrain (GM), Bedford; Cummins, Columbus, IN and Navistar, Indianapolis; he was a member of University Presbyterian Church, Las Cruces, NM; was an avid airplane pilot, belonging to AOPA (Airplane Owners Pilot Assn.) and Eaa (Experimental Aircraft Assn.;) he held 23 U.S. and Foreign patents; and was a National Championship Air Race Winner, twice, in Reno, NV.
Surviving are his wife Gail Mathews, Las Cruces, NM; one daughter, Christine (Tibor) Mathews-Kiss, Manitou Springs, CO; grandchildren Victoria and Steven Mathews-Kiss and Harley and MacKenzie Mathews; two sisters, Ada Helen (Gordon) Terry, Oakland, TN and Ann Walden, Brazil, IN; two brothers, Henry “Hank” ( Sharon) Mathews, Huron and John (Martha) Mathews, Norman, IN; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Will Weldon “Buddy” Mathews III, and Douglas Mathews; grandparents Henry and Alma (Root) Fields and Will and Lyda (Smith) Mathews; brother-in-law Lester “Les” Walden; and two sisters-in-law, Sue Mathews and Betty Shahan.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Pastor John Paulson officiating. Burial will be in Leatherwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be considered to Indiana University Organ Transplants; Simon Cancer Center, Indianapolis; or Leatherwood Cemetery Assoc.

Clifford Wayne Duncan – Mitchell
Clifford Wayne Duncan, 61, of Mitchell, passed away at 11:33 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born September 3, 1953, in Buddha, he was the son of Bradley George and Georgia Maxine (Shirley) Duncan. Clifford worked for many residents in Mitchell.
Survivors include his father, Bradley Duncan, Mitchell; siblings, Charles Leroy Duncan, Mitchell, Rita Gayle Gilstrap, Port Orange, Florida, Mark Alan Duncan, Mitchell, Jennifer Jackson-Duncan, Mitchell, several nieces and nephews
His mother; brothers, Bradley Eugene Duncan and Monte Lee Duncan; and sister Sheila Faye Gilstrap preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at Haverly Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Carlton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
