William C. Hill – Bedford

William C. Hill, 77, of Bedford, died at 5:08 am on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Bloomington Hospice House.
Born June 26, 1937 in Talapoosa, GA, he was the son of Arthur and Vilma (Gauldine) Hill. He married Ruth Anne Herndon in 1998 and she survives. He retired as an electrician with I.B.E.W. and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Oolitic Pentecostal Church and conducted Bible studies at area nursing homes.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Anne, of Bedford; five daughters, Billie Wilson of Graham, NC, Melanie Starkey and husband, Craig, of Danville, IN, Glenda Poe and husband, David, of Bedford, Rhonda Bippus and husband, Chris, of Edinburgh, IN, Cindy Stanley and husband, Keith, of NC; a son, Bradley Hill and wife Michelle, of Elon College, NC; seventeen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Osborne, Sue Woodard and Brenda Billingsley; brothers, Paul Hill, Philemon Hill, Timothy Hill and Arthur Morgan Hill (in infancy).
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday, April 6th at the Oolitic Pentecostal Church, 236 Lafayette Ave, Oolitic with Bro. Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the hour of service on Monday, April 6th at the Oolitic Pentecostal Church.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to The Center for Women’s Ministries of Lawrence County, Becky’s Place, Life Pantry or Bertha’s Mission.

Nancy C. Henderson – Bedford
Nancy C. (Payton) Henderson, 80, of Bedford, passed away at 3:49 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at IU Health, Bedford.
Born August 2, 1934, in Lawrence County, Indiana, she was the daughter of William McKinley Payton and Dona (Hughes) Payton. She married Donald Henderson on February 5, 1956; he preceded her in death on March 25, 2005.
She was a graduate of Tunnelton High School with the class of 1952 and work888ed as a bookkeeper for the Lawrence County Division of Family Services for over 50 years, where she retired in 2010. She was also a longtime member of the Tunnelton Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are one son, Michael Henderson, of Bedford; one daughter-in-law, Irene Henderson, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Misty Middleton, of Bedford, Brandy Henderson (Michael Vinson), of Mitchell, Nicholas Henderson (Derin), of Greenwood, and Tyler Henderson, of Bedford; eight great-grandchildren, Michael Bell, Ethan Middleton, Devin Middleton, Caitlyn Middleton, Ava Middleton, Alexys Nicholas, Braydon Nicholas, and Kynadee Nicholas; one brother, Floy Payton (Melissa), of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Dennis; and one grandson, Shawn Henderson.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Bro. Kenny Dalton officiating. Burial will be in Tunnelton Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, 1-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
