Rosalie Mae (Meredith) Stewart – Bono

Rosalie Mae (Meredith) Stewart, 89, of Bono, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at her son’s home in Bono.
Born August 17, 1925, in Hall, Indiana, she was the daughter of Roy Earl and Parrie Mae (Taylor) Meredith. She married Norman Herbert Stewart June 19, 1949, and he preceded her in death July 20, 1983. Rosalie was a former Lawrence County Treasurer serving from 1985-1996. She worked in various offices in the Courthouse for over 40 years. She was a member of the Bono United Methodist Church until its closing and attended the Mitchell First Baptist Church until her death. She was a longtime member of the Theta Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Psi Sorority, and served many years as a Pink Lady at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Rosalie enjoyed attending a women’s Bible study group and going on outings with her many friends. She was always quick to feed any family stopping by her house. During their high school years, she served her grandsons and their friends lunch twice a week. Her bright smile and twinkling eyes will be missed.
Survivors include children, M. Dean (Paula) Stewart, Mitchell, Marilyn S. (Jay) Wilkins, Burns, Tennessee; grandchildren, Julie (Matt) Spencer, Thomas (Tiffany) Wilkins, Eric Wilkins, John (Blair) Stewart, Scott (Heather) Stewart; great grandchildren, Reagan Delaney Spencer, Quinn Matthew Spencer, Avry Brooke Stewart, Sloane Finley Spencer, Teague Bennett Spencer, Shay Meredith Stewart, Charlee Rose Wilkins, Kyson Scott Stewart; sister, Betty Jane Gorton, Franklin; brother-in-law, Robert Stewart, Ovieda, Florida; several nieces and nephews
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be in Talbott Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. till 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Phi Beta Psi Sorority will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Norma June (Byers) Hutchinson – Bedford
Norma June (Byers) Hutchinson, 86, of Bedford, passed at 2:23 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born September 4, 1928 in Lawrence County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Noble and Lula (Patton) Byers.
She married James Lee Hutchinson on May 23, 1947 in Lawrence County; and he survives. June went to Indiana University at age 38 with her daughters, where she earned two degrees. She taught at St. Vincent, Dollens Elementary in Oolitic, and the last ten years at Stalker Elementary as a Kindergarten Teacher where Lee was principal. They both retired in 1987. Education was very important to June and she was so proud that her daughters and five granddaughters were college graduates, married to college graduates for a total of 27 degrees in her family.
Therefore in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in June’s name to the North Lawrence Community Foundation at 460 W. Street, Bedford and/or the Bedford First United Presbyterian Church to help establish a teacher scholarship fund in both of their names.
Her interests were family, church, travel, and Indiana University Basketball. She was a 62 year member and former elder of First United Presbyterian Church and the Lawrence County/Indiana Retired Teachers Association. June was very pleased with a certificate from Rep. Eric Koch citing congratulations on 67 years of marriage.
Surviving are husband, Lee Hutchinson; two daughters, Sherri (Michael) Alexander and Susan Hutchinson; son-in-law, Donald Lueking; five granddaughters, Mary Ann (Scott) Muckerheide, Laura (Luke) Aylsworth, Lisa (Brent) Dahl, Shannon (Dan) Irmscher, and Stacy (Dhru) Musunuru; nine great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. at First United Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Daniel M. Watson officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Christopher Don Miller – Norman
Christopher Don Miller, 27, of Norman, died Wednesday, March 11, at his residence.
Born February 8, 1988, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Wayne Taylor, Jr. and Bonnie L. (Miller) Taylor.
He married Charlotte Limbach-Feaster on February 25, 2008 and she survives.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Miller, Norman; two sons, Sean and Bo Miller; his parents, Wayne and Bonnie Taylor; one sister Samantha Taylor; one nephew, Kenneth Gage Cahill; grandparents, Clara Huddleston and Wayne Taylor, Sr.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Glendale Miller and Dale Huddleston and Judith Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Pastor Darin Bowlen officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Norman, IN. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
