Allen Lee Guess – Orleans
Allen Lee Guess, 82, of Orleans, died at 8 am on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his residence.
Born 1932 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Otto Guess. He married Hackney in 1956 and she survives. He was an ironworker and member of the Ironworkers Union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of Orleans; two sons, Allen Doan Guess and Mark Allen Guess both of Orleans; two daughters, Cathy Norine Church of Mitchell and Debbie Sue Beasley of NC; ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four children and two brothers.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday, January 30th at the Lowder Cemetery with Pastor Lyman Taylor officiating. Burial will follow with military rites accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and DA.V. Chapter 2. No visitation is scheduled.

Brenda Chapman – North Las Vegas, Nevada
Brenda Chapman, 74, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015, at her residence.
Born July 11, 1940, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Edward C. and Edith (Painter) White. She married Frank L. Chapman in 1963 and he preceded her in death November 23, 2013.
Survivor daughters, Stephanie Chapman, North LasVegas, Nevada; Kim Esslinger, Long Beach, California; sisters, Sandra (Randy) Coble, Mitchell; Mary Jane Caraway, Mitchell
Her parents; husband; and sisters, Shirley Radcliff, Virginia White, and Betty Kelley, preceded her in death.
Private graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 30, at Mitchell Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Haverly Funeral Chapel and Cremation.
