Phoebe L. Hamilton – Mitchell
Phoebe L. Hamilton, 73, of Mitchell, passed away at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Haverly Funeral Chapel.
Richard Lee Burns – Franklin
Richard Lee Burns, 59, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2014 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 13, 1954 in Evansville, Indiana to Columbus and Peggy Anita (Forston) Burns.
He married Sheila (Himbaugh) Burns on October 31, 1975 in Shoals, Indiana. He was currently employed as a parts inspector for First Call Quality Control in Franklin. Richard attended Martin County Schools and was a member of the Johnson County R.E.A.C.T. He liked to tinker with old cars and bicycles and he greatly enjoyed his grandkids.
Survivors include his mother Peggy Burns, of Shoals; wife Sheila Burns, of Franklin’ one daughter Teresa(Dennis) Burns-Ray of Shelbyville; two sons Richard Lee (Kimberly) Burns II, of Hope, Charles Daniel (Kristen) Burns, of Franklin; four grandchildren, Hope, Sierra, Blake and Brooklen; two sisters Shirley (“Corky”) Holt, of Shoals, Alice “Jackie” Holt of Loogootee, numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Columbus Burns, nephew James Lee Holt, uncle Daniel Forston, two sisters Patricia “Pat” White and Cristine “Chris” Lampson.
Visitation will be Thursday,September 11, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m. at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pastor Derek Mobley of Franklin will officiate the service.
The family ask that expressions of sympathy be made to the funeral home to assist with burial expenses.

R. Muriel Evans – Bedford
R. Muriel Evans, 60, of Bedford, passed away at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in Bedford.
Born October 27, 1953 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Bob and Maxine (Fish) Dalton. She married Phil Evans on November 10, 1974; and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2006. She was a very active member in Fayetteville Baptist Church, where she was an AWANA director and Sunday school teacher for several years. She was a graduate of Tunnelton High School with the class of 1972. She worked as a Certified Insurance Consultant many years for Keach & Grove, Bedford, and for Hylant Insurance, Bloomington.
Surviving are her son Joe Evans (fiance’ Arienne Gratzer) , Bedford; her daughter, Keyla (Luke) Lindell, Bloomington; grandchildren Gavin and Gibson Evans and Evan and Presley Lindell; brother, Emmett (Susie) Dalton, Bedford; sisters Lois (John) Guthrie and Abby (Gary) Flynn, both of Bedford; her mother-in-law Jane Sowders, Greenwood; two sisters-in-law Trudy (Roland) Holtsclaw, Greenwood and Christie Sowders, Columbus; and one brother-in-law Toby (Sam) Evans, Orleans; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phil Evans; and her father-in-law, Ben Evans.
Funeral service will be on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Pastor Kenny Walden officiating. Burial will be in Pinhook Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be considered to Fayetteville Baptist Church AWANA Program.

Patricia Ann Kindred -Bedford
Patricia Ann Kindred, 72, of Bedford, passed away at 11:16 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 14, 1941 in Lawrence County, Indiana, she was the daughter of James and Bernice (George) Henderson.
She was a member of East Oolitic Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are one son, James K. Pursell, of Indianapolis; three daughters, Jena York, of Bedford, Lisa Lane, of Bedford, and Denise Rash, of Spencer; eleven grandchildren, Tiffany Richter, Nikki Richter, Trista Gipson, Brandon Richter, Patric York, Matthew York, Meisha Roberts, Dustin Mills, Miranda Worley, and Michael Worley; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Brenda DePierre, of Colorado Springs; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandchild.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 11a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Rev. Millard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
