Paul Delano McArtor – Springville
Paul Delano McArtor, 78, of Springville, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his residence.
Born September 2, 1935, he was the son of William Paris and Celia Irene (Stuffle) McArtor. He married Gloria P. Holmes on January 29, 1955 and she preceded him in death on October 25, 2001. He married Janna Cobb Phillips on February 14, 2010 and she survives. He retired as a heavy equipment operator in 1999 having worked at Ralph Rogers and Crider & Crider. He attended Oolitic Pentecostal Church, and was a member of the Operators and Engineers Union Local #841 of Terre Haute.
Survivors include his wife, Janna of Springville; three sons, David Paul McArtor and wife, Debbie of Bloomington, Danny McArtor of Bedford and Bill McArtor and wife, Penny of Springville; one daughter, Diane Stidd of North Vernon; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Hammond of Bedford; six step-children, Rick Phillips and wife, Donna of Bedford, David Phillips of Martinsville, Beth Feldman and husband, Dr. Mark Feldman of Bloomington, Terri Speer and husband, Bro. Marty Speer of Oolitic, Mark Phillips and wife, Sharon of Springville, Tracy Phillips and wife, Pam of Bedford; three sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Shelton of Springville, Sherrie Johnson of Springville and Elaine Allen of Bedford; three brothers-in-law, Keith Holmes of Springville, Fred Stout of Bedford and Ronnie Slaton of Scottsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Gloria and two sisters, Patty Miller and Linda Yoho.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, June 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Marty Speer and Jeremy Weddle officiating. Burial will follow in Lowder Cemetery in Springville. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 18th and from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, June 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
