Robert H. “Bob” Boling – Sanibel, FL.
Robert H. “Bob” Boling of Sanibel, Florida passed peacefully on January 31, 2014, at his home. He was born in Bedford, Indiana to the late Lois Hobson Boling and Harrell L. Boling.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judy Kern Boling and two daughters, Sherry (Doug) Stewart and Lisa (Brad) Long, both of Greenwood, Indiana; five grandchildren all of Greenwood, Indiana. Also surviving are two brothers, John (Carmen) Boling of Bloomington, Indiana and Mike (Emilie) Boling of Jacksonville, Florida. Also surviving from Bedford are one aunt, Katherine Mathews, his sister-in-law, Linda Kern Smith and her husband R. L. (Bud) Smith of Bedford and several cousins. One brother-in-law, Jerry Kern (formerly of Bedford), currently of Clearwater Beach, Florida. Bob is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob grew up in southern Indiana enjoying basketball, baseball, tennis and singing. He graduated from Shawswick High School and Purdue University. He was commissioned as 2nd Lt., through the R.O.T.C. program and served 2 ½ years of active duty. He retired from Indiana Bell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 11 a.m. at Sanibel Community Church. There will be an additional service held at Greenwood Christian Church in Greenwood, IN on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 10 a.m.
Memorial gifts have been suggested to the General Legacy Fund at the Sanibel Community Church or Hope Hospice.

Rick Dean King – Mitchell
Rick Dean King, 53, of Mitchell, passed away at 2:05 p.m. at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospice House.
Born January 21, 1961, in Bedford, he was the son of Roger and Evelyn (Passmore) King. He was a welder and mechanic and a 1979 graduate of Mitchell High School. Rick attended North Lawrence Vocational School and was a professional painter. He loved to spend time with his daughter and granddaughters. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. Rick was inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.
Survivors include her daughter, Jessica L. King and son-in-law David Weaver, Bedford; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Robert Newport, Clay City; granddaughters, Madison King Weaver, Olivia Mae Weaver; siblings, Shelly (Tony) Terrell, Huron, Jeff (Shelly) King, Heltonville, Debbie (Connie) King, Huron, Cheryl (Ron) Bewley, Patricksburg, Greg King, Huron; 3 nieces; 6 nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; significant other, Cindy Reynolds, Mitchell
His father; paternal grandparents, Roy and Louise King; and maternal grandparents, Lydia and James Passmore, preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
