William H. Folmer Jr. – Bedford
William H. Folmer Jr, 88, of Bedford, died Friday evening in Bedford.
Born October 8, 1925 in Erlanger, KY, he was the son of William H. and Nellie Mae (Williams) Folmer Sr. He married Lois R. Schwartz on July 27, 1946 and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2006. Bill was an Army Air Corp Staff Sergeant in the 601st Bombardment Squadron and the 398th Bombardment Group. He was a B-17 Gunner in WWII. His bomb group was Hell’s Angels. He flew 31 missions and was shot down three times. His military career is highly decorated, receiving 2 Presidential Citations, 6 Bronze Stars, and several other medals. He worked at Stewart Ironworks, Cincinnati DieCast, and retired as a Tool Engineer for General Motors. Bill was a Charter member of the VFW in Erlanger and a member of many other groups, including, the VFW Gillen Post, the Sons of American Revolution, the Bedford Optimist Club, and was formerly active in the Boys Club as a coach and taught weight lifting. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include his three daughters: Linda Edwards of Bedford, Shari Mundy and her husband Sam of Bedford, Jo Ann McPherson and her husband Jim of Paoli; one son: William H. Folmer III and his wife Rhonda of Bedford; four grandchildren: Ashea Wiliams and her husband Doug, William H. Folmer IV and his wife Sarah, Kessiah McPherson, Nakia McPherson; three great-grandchildren: Robert Williams, Owen Williams, Jamey Lynn Folmer.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, January 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rick Leach and Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Ronnie Collins – Springville
Ronnie Collins, 66, of Springville, died Saturday morning at IU Health Hospital in Bedford.
Born November 16, 1947 in London, KY, he was the son of Estel and Lucy (Gross) Collins. Among his many talents, Ronnie was a skilled contractor/carpenter in Bedford, as well as, a lifelong car enthusiast who both collected and restored classic street rods. Ronnie was an active member of the local car show club. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he has touched.
Survivors include his mother, Lucy Collins; one daughter, Christina Collins; mother of daughter, Connie Baker; one brother, Doug Collins and his wife Delores; one sister, Cheryl Bundy and husband George E.; two nephews, Will Bundy and Jan Mills; one niece, Elizabeth Poe; devoted friends, Kay Weldon, Becky Weldon, Agnus Boone and many others. The family would like to acknowledge David Flynn, Rick Kelley, Maxine Cosby and all others who loved, provided care and supported him throughout his courageous battle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Estel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Ann H. Ray – Bedford
Ann H. Ray, 72, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Johnson Christian Village in Bedford.
Born October 16, 1941, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Frank S. and Ruth (Henderson) Kruchten. She married Ed Ray June 11, 1961.
She was a homemaker and a graduate of Bedford High School in 1959. Ann graduated from Indiana Business College, and was a member of the Bryantsville Extension Homemakers Club. She served as a Lawrence County Tourism Guide.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Ray, Bedford; son, Kyle (Kim) Ray, Bedford; grandsons, Caleb and Eli
Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Richard Holt officiating. Burial will be in Bryantsville Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
