Danny Lee Hamilton – Mitchell
Danny Lee Hamilton, 55, of Mitchell, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, September 21 at his residence.
Born September 17, 1958, in Martin County, he was the son of John Woodston and Virginia (Wilcoxen) Hamilton. He married Sonya Maria Weissling May 1, 2009.
Danny was employed at Delta Coating and was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 689 in Bedford and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Shoals.
Survivors include his wife, Sonya Hamilton, Mitchell; daughters, Amanda Hamilton, Mitchell, Aaliyah Hamilton, Mitchell; grandchildren, Jonathan Hill and Terry Tolbert; mother and stepfather, Virginia and Leroy Brown, Mitchell; brother, Harold Hamilton, Mitchell; sister, Marcella Moore, Bedford
He was preceded in death by his father, and brother, John Hamilton.
A memorial service will be at 4:p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Greg McBride officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Joe J. Johnson – Bedford
Joe J. Johnson, 84, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in Bedford, IN.
Born October 5, 1928 in Bedford, IN; he was the son of Charles W. and Irene (Troy) Johnson. He married Teresa Ann Endris on April 22, 1950; and she preceded him in death. He was an engineer at Central Foundry, Bedford, IN, where he retired in 1986. He was a graduate of Bedford H.S., class of 1946 and GMI, Flint, MI, class of 1951. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks, Bedford #826. He was of the Protestant Faith.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Henderson of Cambridge, MD; two sons, Chris Johnson (wife Frances) of North Augusta, SC, and James Johnson (wife Courtney Cook), Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Alex Johnson (wife Staci) of Indianapolis, IN, Bryan Johnson (wife Amanda) of Ft. Collins, CO, Amanda Henderson of Bloomington, IN, Joe Henderson (wife Kelsey) of Bedford, IN, Adelaide Johnson and Catalina Jeannette Johnson of Austin, TX; two sisters, Sherry Sherrill of Bedford, IN, and Brenda Armstrong (husband Richard) of Bedford, IN; one brother, Brent Johnson, Bloomington, IN; one great grandchild, Selah Belle Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; several nieces and nephews; and the Endris family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Teresa, and one brother-in-law Leroy “Si” Sherrill.
Friends may call on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. A service will be held at 1 p.m.. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

William W. “Bill” Scott – Bedford
William W. “Bill” Scott, 80, of Bedford, died at 5 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born April 29, 1933 in Bedford, he was the son of William W. and Marie (Berkley) Scott, Sr. He married Carol Ann Vest on January 19, 1957 and she survives. He retired from General Motors in 1996. He attended Oolitic Schools and was a Member of First Baptist Church, VFW, UAW 440, American Legion, and the AARP. His hobbies were fishing and watching and attending ballgames. Bill served as a Corporal in the Air Force during the Korean War. Bill was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and a papaw to many.
Survivors include his wife Carol of Bedford; three daughters, Sharon Holbrook, Patricia A. Holmes and husband Wayne and Sandi Leigh Smoot and husband Tony all of Bedford; one son, William Bradley Scott and wife Melinda of Bedford; one sister, Gloria Elliott; one brother, Don Scott and wife Connie; 14 grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Staggs and Barbara Turpen; one daughter, Marsha Lynn Scott Moore; one granddaughter, Jamie Moore Fleenor and one son-in-law Earl Holbrook.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris and Pastor Ken Bushey officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Mausoleum. Military rites will be accorded at the grave. Visitation will be from 4 pm – 8 pm on Friday, September 27, 2013 and from 10 am until the hour of the service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County.
