Morris Dale Wininger – Mitchell
Morris Dale Wininger of Mitchell, died at 4 pm on Monday, July 29th at his residence. Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Chester Webster – Mitchell
Chester Webster, 68, of Mitchell, passed away at 8:08 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Robert E. Hillenburg – Heltonville
Robert E. Hillenburg, 88, of Heltonville, died at 12:03 am Monday, July 29, 2013 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born August 31, 1924 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Loris and Maude (Dillman) Hillenburg. He married Mary East on September 4, 1943 in Norman, OK and she survives. He retired from General Motors after thirty-two years and had been employed at Day & Carter Mortuary and NWSC Crane. He was a member of the Heltonville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and trustee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WW II where he received a presidential citation, a member of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion, V.F.W., past Pleasant Run Twp. Trustee for eight years, past member of the Lawrence Co Welfare Board,
a trustee for Gilgal Cemetery since 1970, air aviation ordinance man serving in the task force in the Pacific with President George Bush and had served on the U.S. Senatorial Committee.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Heltonville; a son, Don Hillenburg and wife, Ann, of Heltonville; four grandchildren, Robert W. Hillenburg and wife, Marcia, of Heltonville; Melissa (Hunter) Tincher and husband, Wesley Patton of Springville; Cheryl (Hillenburg) Blackwell and husband, Wade of Bedford; Mindy (Hunter) Busch and husband, Tom, of Bedford; twelve great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Marilyn (Hillenburg) Hunter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, July 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Perry Tom East officiating. Burial will follow in Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, July 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary
