Joseph Fisher – Bedford
Joseph Fisher, 74, of Bedford, died at 7:45 pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Core Nursing & Rehab.
Born November 6, 1939 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Homer and Nada May (Henderson) Fisher. He married Linda Bridges on June 14, 1964 and she preceded him in death. He retired from the Bedford Street Department after 30 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Thomas, of Bedfor;, one stepson, Frank Walker, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Joanna Thomas, Stormi Thomas, Benjamin Thomas and Joseph Thomas; two great grandchildren, Linda Thomas and Lily Richardson; three brothers, Jim Fisher, of Bedford, Richard Fisher, of Ohio and Gerald Fisher, of Tennessee, two sisters, Lilly Barringer of Florida and Sue Essex of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, Glen Fisher and one sister, Martha Fisher.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm on Wednesday, July 10th at Dive Cemetery with Tony Earl officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from Noon until 1:45 pm on Wednesday, July 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
