James Michael Beasley – Mitchell
James Michael Beasley, 66, passed away at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 23, 1947, in Bedford, he was the son of Theodore “Ted” and Jewell (Humphreys) Beasley. He married Teresa Fleenor July 7, 2000. Jim had been employed at Carpenter Body Works and was a 1965 graduate of Mitchell High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a life member of American Legion Post No. 250.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa “T.J.” Beasley, Mitchell; son, Corey Beasley, Avoca; daughter, Morgan Wilcoxen, French Lick; step son, Jeremy Jackson, Apache Junction, Arizona; sister, Sharon Mitchell, Bedford; 6 grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Matlock..
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, in Mitchell Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. A celebration of life service will follow at American Legion Post No. 250.

Janet Kay Dodds – Bedford
Janet Kay Dodds, 71 of Bedford, passed away at Noon on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her home.
Born October 7 1941, she was the daughter of James W. and Bessie P.(Payton) Hatfield. She married David Lynn Dodds in 1962 and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2011. She was a waitress at Three Pigs Restaurant for thirty-nine years and at Rusty’s for twelve years. She was of the Christian faith and outgoing, friendly and very giving to others. She was a true legend, one of a kind and always greeted people with a smile (and a meal).
Survivors include her children, Jerry Dodds and wife, Beth, Dianna Voorhies and husband, Dan, David L Dodds and wife, Shelley, Mary Elizabeth Dodds, Jennifer Dodds; Tadd Hedrick, Tucker Hedrick; a daughter-in-law, Cari Dodds; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Johnson an Lahoma Owen and husband, Russell; a sister-in-law, Debbie Blatz and husband, Doug; several nieces, nephews and a group of close family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a son, Dennis Allen Dodds; a brother, James D. Hatfield; a brother-in-law, Dennis Lee Dodds.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, May 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Dan Voorhies officiating. Burial will follow in the Payton Family Cemetery in Paoli. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Friday, May 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
