Nola Miller – Mitchell
Nola Miller, 93, of Mitchell, passed away at 4:16 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born November 3, 1919, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Charles A. and Sarah (Beavers) King. Nola had been employed at Trav-Ler Radio Corporation and was last employed at Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Mitchell Church of Christ and Mitchell Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her sons, Morris A. Barlow, Rensselaer Freddy S. Miller, Mitchell; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph King, Hillard King, and Odis King; and sisters, Josephine King, Ruth Sorrells, Grace Massey, Cecile Grissom, Bessie Chapman, Delphia Kinder and Euphia Doane, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in Mitchell Cemetery with Brother Allen Burris officiating. There is no scheduled visitation at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Howard A. Kopp – Bedford
Howard A. Kopp, 85, Bedford, died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, at Garden Villa, Bedford.
Arrangements are pending at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford.
Rev. Richard E. Chase – Bedford
Rev. Richard E. Chase, 82, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013.
Born February 8, 1931, in Bedford, he was the son of Maurice and Catherine (Hamilton) Chase. He married Rhoda L. Kline on December 15, 1950, and she survives. He was a graduate of Shawswick High School, Class of 1949; he was a minister and farmer; Richard grew up attending Erie Methodist Church until he was called into the ministry. He retired as the pastor of Heltonville and Leesville Methodist Churches, where he was pastor for several years.
Surviviors include his wife, Rhoda L. Kline Chase, Bedford; one daughter, Karen and husband John Van Til, St. John, IN; two sons, Alan Chase and wife Karen and David Chase and wife Carolyn, both of Bedford; grandchildren Jamie Zendian, Megan and husband Rick VanderPloeg, Kyle Chase and wife Kyle, Kory Chase and wife Jamie, Kip Chase and wife Nicole, Kevin Chase and wife Megan, Christian Chase and Charity Chase; great-grandchildren Kannon and Konner Chase, Jack and Andrew Chase and Kenton and Marlee Chase; one brother, Robert Chase; and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Catherine Chase; two brothers, John and Joe Chase; and one son, Daniel Scott Chase.
Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Burial will be in Erie Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service, at the funeral home.

Robert W. “Bob” Henry – Bedford
Robert W. (Bob) Henry, 87, of Bedford, passed away at 2:30 am on Monday, May 6, 2013 in at the Bliss House.
He was born January 24, 1926 in Detroit, MI. He married Mary Jane Thompson in 1947 and she preceded him in death in 2005. He was a world champion hair stylist from the early 50’s through the mid 80’s winning several world championships in New York and Chicago. He and his wife, Mary Jane started the Jack Lowther Little League in 1951 one of the first Jr. football leagues in Detroit. Bob was also a color commentator with Al Walker and John Williams for the Bedford Stonecutters in the 60’s and BNL in the early 70’s. He then joined Prudential Insurance Co. and retired in the mid 90’s. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bedford, B.P.O. Elks Lodge and Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F& AM. He was a former board member of the Bedford Parks and Recreation Dept. and Bedford Dance Club. He was an avid golfer and had been active with the Otis Park Men’s Club. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include two sons, Dain Henry of Bedford and Doak Henry, of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Doak M Henry and Heather L. Henry, both of Bloomington, Randi Rashelle Henry, of Indianapolis; a great granddaughter, Sophia Jayne Henry, of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am on Thursday, May 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Mark McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Gregory K. Miller – Bedford
Gregory K. Miller, 49, of Bedford, passed away Thursday.
Born February 18, 1964 in Bedford, he was the son of Larry and Carole Miller.
Greg was an avid Colts, Reds, Pacers and IU basketball fan, but his greatest passion was racing. Growing up at the race track every weekend with his father, family and friends, he then went on to build his own stock car that he enjoyed racing at Bloomington and Brownstown. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He was a graduate of BNL with the class of 1982 and a graduate of Ivy Tech in 1984.
Survivors include his daughter, Haley Miller, of Tucson, Arizona; his mother, Carole Miller, of Oolitic; sisters, Debbie Elkins and husband, Mike, of Houston, TX, Sheryl Quintana, of Bedford; brother, Keith Miller and wife Kim, of Baytown TX; many nieces and nephews, Lori Miller Emmons (Michael), Daniel Quintana, Melissa Quintana, Jessica Miller, Jennifer Miller, Rebecca Miller; great nieces and nephews, Cody and Ellie Emmons, Andrea Miller and Hunter Coyle.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Miller; grandparents, Daniel and Norma (Reynolds) Jenkins, Leonard and Nellie (Rogers) Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Tuesday, May 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday, May 6th and from 9 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, May 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
