The following obituaries were received for Friday –


Mary A. Terry – Mitchell
Mary A. Terry, 78, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Haverly Funeral Chapel and Cremation.
John Dee Blake – Loogootee
John Dee Blake, 74, went to be with his heavenly father on April 10, 2013 at 8:45 pm at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on December 19, 1938 in Williams, to Reno and Eva (Clark) Blake. He married Sharon K. Tharp on June 11, 1977 in Bloomington and she survives.
He retired from Tree of Life Trucking in Bloomington. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Shoals Church of The Nazarene.
Survivors include, his wife Sharon, of Loogootee; two brothers Ronnie Blake, of Bedford and Cleo Blake, of Indianapolis; five sisters, Linda and husband Hulan Sturgeon, of Bedford, Ina and husband Johnnie Feathers, of Springville, Juanita and husband Clifford Morris, of Bedford, Joan Blake, of Bedford, Annadee Craig, of Williams; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the hour of service at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery. American Legion Post 61 will accord military graveside rites.

Larry L. Torrance – Mitchell
Larry L. Torrance, 75, passed away January 9, 2013, at his residence.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Roy Lee Garrison – Mitchell
Roy Lee Garrison, 88, of Mitchell, passed away on April 10, 2013. Roy resided in Louisville Kentucky for the last three years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ott and Ada Garrison. He was a member of River’s Edge Fellowship Church in Bedford. He owned and successfully worked a farm near Mitchell for years. He had a great love for travel and being with friends. Over the last 30 years he saw a great deal of the world. He traveled extensively throughout Europe. He also traveled to Northern Africa, specifically to Morocco and Egypt, and to Israel, Jordan and Turkey many times. He journeyed to Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. His travels took him through much of North America. Wherever he went in the world he met people who remained lifelong friends.
Roy is survived by many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 1 pm at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Friends may call on Saturday April 13, 2013 from 11:30 am until service time. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
