Ermil Ritter – Bloomington
Ermil Ritter, 89, of Bloomington, passed away April 1st at his residence.
Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Dale Gould – Bedford

Dale Gould, 72, of Bedford passed away at 7:50 am Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born January 3, 1941 in Lawrence County he was the son of Heber Ray and Hazel Louise (Pace) Gould. He married Myrna Southern on September 26, 1959 and she survives. He was the manager at Hall Oil Company for 24 years and retired from Merriman Steel after 21 years. He loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and junkin’.
Survivors include his wife Myrna of Bedford; one daughter: Teresa Spires and her husband Jerry of Bedford; one son: Loren Gould and his wife Janine of Bedford; four grandchildren: Justin (Jay) Spires of Bloomington, Jesse Spires and his wife Jeri of Bedford, Jacey Chastain and her husband Corey of Bedford, and Kali Gould of Bedford; four great grandchildren: Kayne and Hayden Spires, and Cutler and Hunter Chastain; one brother: David Gould of Springville; two sisters: Marilyn Borders of Bedford, and Norma Ann Walters of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson: Loren Dale William Gould, one brother Randall Gould.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, April 3rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Billy Brim officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, April 2nd. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Bloomington Hospice House. Ronald Proffitt – Bloomington
Ronald Proffitt, 57, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Harley L. Neideffer – Dover Hill
Harley L. Neideffer, 95, of Dover Hill, passed away on March 29, 2013 at 9:30 am at his home with his wife Lotus, by his side.
He was born on June 24, 1917 in Martin County, near Loogootee to Solman Andrew and Lula Grace (Vanwinkle) Neideffer. Harley was the last of his family of nine siblings including five brothers and three sisters.
He first married Juliann Vanderstraten on June 18, 1936. They were married for 63 years. He then married Lotus J. Neidefer on July 15, 2000 and settled in Dover Hill.
Harley was a veteran of the US Air Force serving as a tailgunner during World War II and was a member of the VFW Perrington, Michigan. He was the Under Secretary of State in Michigan, retiring in 1980.
He is survived by his wife, Lotus, of Dover Hill; son Ronald Neideffer, of Reed City, Michigan; granddaughter, Tammy and husband Daryl Trefil, of Maple Rapids, Michigan; grandson Ronadl Lee Neideffer Jr., of Reed City, Michigan; six great grandsons; three step-children, six step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Juliann in 1999 and one daughter Betty Jean.
Local visitation was held Sunday evening, March 31, from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Visitation services and burial will be held in Michigan on Tuesday.
Carla Sue DeVries – Bedford
Carla Sue DeVries, 46, of Bedford, formerly of Downers Grove, Illinois and Wheatfield, Indiana, passed away at 12:02 AM on Sunday March 31, 2013 in Bedford. She was born on March 25, 1967 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Milton E. & Caroline (Jackson) DeVries and they survive.
Carla was a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Indiana & Purdue University in West Lafayette; she was an Artist & Interior Design Professional
She is survived by her parents; Milton E. & Caroline DeVries of Bedford; two brothers
Brothers; MichaelDeVries and wife Tina, of DeMotte, Indiana and Randall DeVries, of Dallas, Texas; one sister; Cheryl and husband Jorge Knudson, of Oakland, New Jersey;
two nieces and one nephew
Cremation was as per her wishes; service with a Celebration of Life at a later date in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services -LCCPS or Bloomington Hospital, IU Health Hospice.
Ruth E. Morrison – Bedford
Ruth E. Morrison, 91, of Bedford, died at 9:08 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at I.U. Health Hospice House, Bloomington, IN.
Born September 10, 1921 in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Henry C. Fish and Lola (Martin) Fish. She married Carroll C. Morison on December 16, 1941 and he died May 6, 2006.
She was a graduate of Bedford High School with the Class of 1939; was a homemaker and owner/operator of Morrison’s Office Supply and Travel Goods, Bedford; a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Bedford for 58 years; a member of Altrusa Women’s Club over 30 years and had been very active with Lincoln Elementary School PTA many years.
Surviving are one daughter, Radonna “Jeannie” and husband Gary Holmes, Avoca; one son, Jed H. Morrison and wife Jane, Bedford and one daughter-in-law, Susan Kopp Morrison, Madison, IN; grandchildren Jamie and husband Tim Day and their children Braxton and Tristin; Trent Holmes and wife Carrie and their children Libbie and Cooper; Chuck Bair and wife Ava and their children Sam, Jacob and Alice; Michelle and husband Matt Hicks and their children Ben, Molly and Eva; Carrie and husband Brandon Heironimus and their children Brittany and Bella; Cassie and husband Justin Spires and their children Colton, Chloe and Conner; Patrick Morrison and wife Josie and their daughter Sophia; and Christopher Morrison; and one sister-in-law, Frances Fish, Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll; one daughter, Janice Kay Bair; one son, Jay C. Morrison; one grandson, Joseph Morrison; two brothers, Henry Edward Fish and Frank Gordon Fish; one sister, Ruby Fish (in childhood); and one son-in-law, Andrew “Andy” Bair.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Grace United Methodist Church, Bedford, with Pasto Rob Kirts, Dr. Ted Murphy and Bro. Timothy Day officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens, Bedford. Friends may call on Monday from 3 pm to 8 pm at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford and on Tuesday from 10 am until the service, at the church.
