William Cassidy – Bedford
William Cassidy, 71, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born June 26, 1941 in Bedford, he was the son of Joseph and Louisa (McDermen) Cassidy. He married Faye Scott on June 29, 1963 and she survives. He retired from General Motors in Bedford in 1987 and had served on the board of directors for Hoosier Hills Credit Union for 38 years. He was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed antique clocks, old cars and attending clock shows with his late friend, Gordon Reuter and wife, Margaret.
Survivors include his wife, Faye, of Bedford; children, Scott Cassidy of Mitchell, Joe Cassidy and wife, Kelly of Bedford, John Cassidy and wife, Jennifer of Bedford; grandchildren, Justin, Josh, Jake, Bowen, Jessica and husband, Neil Embree, and Shelby; great grandchildren, Scotlyn, Cade and Harper; a brother, Ben Cassidy and
wife, Myla, of Fayetteville; two sisters, Jeanette Nikirk and husband, Delvin of Oolitic, Margaret Brown and husband, Dick of Bedford; several nieces and nephews, including three special nieces, Paula, Dee and Cathy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Catherine Dorsett, Virginia Ray and JoAnn Cassidy; two brothers, Carl and Jim Cassidy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 2 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Dan Voorhies officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on
Thursday, November 1st and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, November 2 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Clara Bernice Noel – Bedford
Clara Bernice Noel, 89, of Bedford, died at 3:40 pm on Monday, October 29, 2012 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born July 17, 1923 in Springville, she was the daughter of Clarence B. and Clara (Wright) Kirkman. She married Ernest H. Godsey and he preceded her in death. She later married Elmer Butcher and he preceded her in death. She then married Ralph Noel and he also preceded her in death. She retired from G.E. in Bloomington. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Springville where she had taught Sunday school, played the piano and sang. She enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Godsey and wife, Frances (Draus) of Springville; two daughters, Patricia J. (Godsey) Super and husband, Don of Springville, Beverly (Godsey) Keister and husband, David of Martinsville; a brother, Lester Kirkman; a sister, Mavis Stafford; ten grandchildren, Connie (Corey) Brown of Markel, IN, Martin Corey of Switz City, IN, Lisa Gayle (Corey) Kelley of Ossian, IN, Sherry Jo (Corey) Mattix of Bloomfield, IN, Daren Scott Lester of Ellettsville, IN, Barry Lester of Mitchell, Kristin Lester of Vincennes, IN, Brian Godsey of Springville, Leann Herr and Janice Wisley both of Bedford, Ashley and Travis Cain; nine step grandchildren, Daniel Keister of Logansport, David Bruce Keister of Martinsville, Deborah (Keister) Hubbard of Martinsville, Doug Keister of Martinsville, Angel Head of Spencer, Dinah
Super of CT, Christina Root of Bedford; thirty-four great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, a son, Darrell (in infancy); three sisters, Marguerite Kirkman, Marjorie Koontz and Thelma Mikels.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 1st and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, November 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Springville Heritage Fund.
