The following obituaries were received for Friday –


Mary E.. Leahy- Bedford
Mary E. Leahy, 92, of Bedford, passed away at 5:36 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at her home.
Born November 25, 1919 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Lang and Grace (Inman) Hodges. She married Robert M. Leahy on August 7, 1937 and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1990. She was a homemaker and member of the Avoca Baptist Church where she was involved in the music program for over 50 years.
Survivors include two sons, James Leahy, of Columbus, Jack Leahy and wife Gwen, of Bedford; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, Fred, Ora, Wayne, Opal and Clyde Hodges; one son, George Leahy and a daughter in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Avoca Baptist Church with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at Avoca Baptist Church.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to Becky’s House.

Graveside service for Rick McCormick will be at noon Friday, April 27, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
