Cheryl Lee Jones – Vincennes
Cheryl Lee Jones, 58, of Vincennes, formerly of Loogootee, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 2:07 a.m.
Born on October 13, 1953 in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Leo and Mary (Lynch) Jones. She was a former employee at National Gypsum in Shoals. She graduated from Shoals High School and attended Shoals Christian Church.
She is survived by her brother Michael and his wife Laudonna Jones, of Franklin and one sister, Anita Tuttle, of Virginia; and one niece Sarah Jones, of Franklin; two great nieces Rebecca Mary Elizabeth Jones and Olivia Grace Jones, both of Chesterton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Roger and sister Rebecca Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals.

Eva M. Carnes – Mitchell
Eva M. Carnes, 95, of Mitchell, passed away at 12:28 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Paoli Health and Living Community.
Born July 2, 1916, in Orleans, she was the daughter of Ira M. and Nellie (Rose) Cox. She married James Carnes in 1972. She was a homemaker and had been employed at Trav-Ler Radio Corporation. Eva was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Carnes, of Paoli; children, Bessie Hopper, of Knightstown, Mary and husband Ed Patterson, of St. Charles, Missouri, James W. and wife Pam Bartlett, of Mitchell, Ellen Fay Bartlett, of Hamilton, Ohio; grandson, Casey Bartlett, of Mitchell; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sister, Ethel Mae Hall, of Paoli; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Charles Cox, Harold Cox, and Kenneth Cox.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
