Vicki E. (Hert) Murphy – Bedford
Vicki E. Murphy, 58, of 1101 R Street, died Tuesday, September 6, at her residence.
Born September 22, 1952 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Allan and June (Pace) Hert. she was a receptionist for the American Red Cross Headquarters and volunteered at Community Care.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Blackman, and husband Jack Blackman, of Martinsville; a grandson, Mason Blackman; a sister Allana Hopkins and husband, Gary Hopkins, of Bedford; a brother, Kent Hert, and wife Nancy Hert, of Springville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Eric Kersey officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday September 9th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends are invited to sign the guest book and light a candle in memory of Vicki at www.daycarter.com
