Vince L. Craig – Bedford
Vince L. Craig, 73, of Bedford, died at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born April 3, 1938 in Silverville, he was the son of Forrest and Zona Pearl (West) Craig. He married Frances G. Riggle on February 16, 1957 and she survives.
He worked for Ermal Fultz at Bedford Building Supply and was a carpenter for Charles Hillenburg and Paul Mitchell. He retired as a pipe fitter at General Motors after twenty years.
He was a member and former deacon at the Silverville Missionary Babptist church and a member of U.A. W. Local #440 . He loved fishing, boating and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, of Bedford; two sons, Barry Craig and companion, Rachael Chastain, of Williams; Jeffrey Craig, of Bedford; two daughters, Michelle Craig, Kristine Craig and companion, Bruce York, of Bedford; two granddaughters; seven grandsons; six great granddaughters; three great grandsons; five sisters, Wanda Craig, Doris Conner and Anah Hall and husband, Leonard, all of Fayetteville; Norma Terry and husband, Bill, Viola Waggoner, his triplet sister and husband, Loren, all of Silverville; five brothers, Donald Craig, of Needmore, Audra Craig and Edwin Craig, both of Silverville; several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kimberly Burnette; two brothers, Lowell Craig and Victor Lantz Craig, who was his triplet brother.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 7th at the Silverville Missionary Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Jim McDowell officiating. Burial will follow. Nancy Jean Fowler – Bedford
Nancy Jean Fowler, 63, of Bedford, died at 5 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born January 25, 1948 in Detroit, MI., she was the daughter of Leo and Betty (Tinsley) Fowler. She had worked at the LARC Center in Bedford. She was a member of the Southland Church of Christ and Center Stone Support Group.
Survivors include two sisters, Gloria Franklin and husband, Kenneth and Pauline White and husband, Phillip, all of Bedford; eight nieces; one nephew; and her boyfriend, David Miller, of Bedford
She was proceeded in death by her parents, a brother, Carl Fowler and a niece, Holli (Street) Dominique.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6th at the Southland Church of Christ with Brother Bud Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, September 6th at the Southland Church of Christ. Wilma Shearheart – Mitchell
Wilma Shearheart, 91, of Mitchell, died at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born September 6, 1919 in Huron, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry and Maude (Weddle) Dorsett. She was married to Paul Jones and Dee Shearhart and both proceeded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a cook at several local restaurants. She enjoyed county music, quilting, dolls and spending time with her family. She attended Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include one brother, Harry “Sonny” (Sheila) Dorsett of Mitchell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Pauline Edwards, Frances Embree, Patricia Moffatt and three brothers: Lawrence “Cookie,” William “Bill” and Robert “Bob” Dorsett.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home Inc. in Haverly Chapel with Reverend Mark Bechtel officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Hazel Margaret (Williams) Moutardier – Bedford
Hazel Margaret (Williams) Moutardier, 81, of Bedford, died at 9:37 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2001 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born march 6, 1930 in Ibernia, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Jessie James and Rebecca Ann Logsdon Williams. She married Laymon O’Neal Moutardier on January 5, 1946. She was a homemaker an member of the Old Union Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
Survivors include one son, Rick and wife, Ellen Moutardier; six daughters Patsy Craig and husband Albert; Junitea (Judy) Cooper; Sherry Todd and husband, Larry; Darlene (Dolly) Blackburn and husband, Jeff; Nancy Meadows and husband, Tevin; Tammie Cook and husband, Craig; eighteen grandchildren, Ryan and Marci Moutardier, Curtis and Trish Moutardier, Kent and Kara Moutardier, Valerie and Chad Umphress, Rhea and Mike Jackson, Katie and Daniel Bruhn, Darren Cooper, Lacie McFadden, Chris Todd, Jamie and Cristy Todd, Corey Blackburn, Emily and Steve Griffith, Jesse and Pauline Cook, Taylor, Carey and Thomas Cook; twenty-three great grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Velda Willis, of Leitchfield, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Lucille Johnson, Nettie Decker and Rosie Decker; three brothers, Dillard, Elbert C. and Delbert Williams.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6th at the Old Union Church. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7th at the Old Union Church with Pastor Aaron Levering officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Union Christian Cemetery.
