David Hill – Bedford
David Hill of Bedford passed away Tuesday morning at IU Health Hospital Bedford at the age of 75.
Born in 1936 to William and Hazel Hill, he married Phyllis Wagoner in 1979 and she survives.
David worked at Cummings Engine and was a member of the Bedford Baptist Temple.
He is survived by his wife, daughters Leann, Patricia, Lisa and Teresa, sons Rob, Van, and Tim, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and brother Glen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Art and Bob, and granddaughter Stephanie.
Visitation is from 4 to 8pm Thursday at Day and Carter with funeral services being held at 11am on Friday and Day and Carter, burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Vera Poole – Oolitic
Vera Poole of Oolitic passed away Monday at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Beford at the age of 85.
Born in 1925 in Lawrence County to Henry and Cora Benham, she married John Poole in 1952, he preceded her in death in 1982.
Vera was a member of the Oolitic United Methodist Church, White River Humane Society and United Foundation of Doll Clubs.
Vera is survived by her sons John, Eric and Jon Phillip, step daughter Linda, step sons John, Butch, and Rickey, sister June, 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm Friday and 9am till 10 am on Saturday at Day and Carter.
Services will start at 10 am on Saturday at Day and Carter, burial will follow at Hopkins Cemetery.
