Arlie O. Propes – Bedford
Arlie O. Propes of Bedford passed away on Saturday, February 5th at I.U. Health Hospital at the age of 98. Born in 1912 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Bert and Tessie Lou Propes, he had been married to Helen Dillman, was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army and was self-employed with many jobs. He is survived by three nieces, Delena Turner, Joan Wray and Delores Turner and her husband Jack; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and one sister, Helen Jones. A graveside memorial will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 10th at Green Hill Cemetery with military rites accorded graveside by members of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Cremation was chosen and visitation will not be held.
Carl D. Ross – Bedford
Carl D. Ross of Bedford passed away on Sunday, February 6th at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital at the age of 64. Born in 1946 in Bedford to Mack and Ruby Ross, he had formerly been married to Darlene Ross, was an electrician at RCA for over 30 years, and was a past member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge. He is survived by two daughters, Diana Dotts and Carol Eads; two brothers Jerry Ross and Albert Ross; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth Glover and one brother. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 9th at Beech Grove Cemetery.
