Sheldon Lee Gearalds – Bedford
Sheldon Lee Gearalds of Bedford passed away on Monday, January 10th in New Port Richey, Florida at the age of 21. Born in 1989 in Bedford, he was a member of the Field Artillery Unit of Indiana National Guard and was a member of Lost River Primitive Baptist Church. He is survived by daughters, Khloe Skye and Rebecca Lynn; his parents; three brothers, David Burton Jr. and his wife Carrie, Timothy Moody and Micah Murphy; one sister, Alyssa Murphy and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 5:00PM on Sunday, January 16th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday at Lost River Primitive Baptist Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Indiana National Guard, American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until the hour of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Evelyn Judah Hill – Bedford
Evelyn Judah Hill of Bedford passed away on Thursday, January 13th at her residence at the age of 78. Born in 1932 in Monroe County to Max and Olive Judah, she had been married to James Hill and was a graduate of Needmore High School, was a homemaker, had formerly worked at RCA and the Bedford National Bank. Evelyn had also attended Gullett’s Creek Baptist Church, the First Church of God and Donica Memorial Church of God. She is survived by her husband; four children, Jana Reed, Carol Lane, Gay Lawton and Nathon Hill; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Warren Judah. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, January 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 7:00PM on Sunday, January 16th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
