Harriet F. Mills – Bedford
Harriet F. Mills of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, January 4th at Mitchell Manor Nursing Home at the age of 88. Born in 1922 in Gayla, Iowa to Richard Reynolds and Carrie Reynolds, she had been married to Cecil Mills since 1942, was a hairdresser, homemaker and co-founder of Mills Markets Grocery Stores. Harriet was also a graduate of Shawswick High School in the class of 1940 and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Steve Mills and Richard Mills; as well as several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 8th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with burial to follow in Crawford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 8:00PM at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
Evelyn Elizabeth Wood
Evelyn Elizabeth Wood passed away on Tuesday, January 4th at her home. Born in Spink County, South Dakota in 1913 to John August and Albetina Anderson, she had been married to Maurice Bernard Wood since 1940, was a homemaker, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was past president of United Methodist Women and was also a resident ambassador at Bliss House for two years. She is survived by one son, Richard J., one daughter Sally Alesia; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Orville, Fred and John Anderson; one sister, Edith Anden and one half-sister, Mable Anderson Lawless. Funeral services will be held at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the hour of service.
