Sharon Kay Chastain Warren – Bedford
Sharon Kay Chastain Warren of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, December 14th at Stonebridge Health Campus at the age of 71. Born in 1939 in Lawrence County to Albert and Wilma Chastain, she had been married to Jacob Warren, had been employed as a waitress and attended Mitchell Wesleyan Church. She is survived by children, Darrell Warren, Teresa Buechler and her husband Richard, James Warren and his wife Theresa; one sister, Carmelita Varvel and her husband Donnie; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Whalin and Shirley Atchison; brothers, Jerry Chastain and one infant son, Norman Chastain. Funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 18th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lawrenceport Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Hazel Cropp – Bedford
Hazel Cropp of Bedford, formerly of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, December 14th at Garden Villa at the age of 95. Born in 1915 in Martin County to Grover and Grace Hawkins, she had been married to Darrell Cropp since 1936, was a homemaker, was a graduate of Shoals High School in the class of 1933 and attended Shoals United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Johnson and Ardie Asbell; one brother, Clyde Hawkins; one sister, Lydia Hawkins; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Charles, John, Hubert and Bob Hawkins; three sisters, Mildred Beaver, Wanda Stiles and Lucille Jarboe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 18th at Queen-Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, December 17th at the funeral home.
