Robert E. Wells – Bedford
Robert E. Wells of Bedford passed away on Friday, November 5th at his residence at the age of 70. Born in 1939 in Washington County to Charlie and Thelma Wells, he had been married to Alene Goins since 1968, was raised in Greene County and spent most of his life in Lawrence County. Robert was a graduate of Oolitic High School in the class of 1958, was employed at Indiana Limestone Company and was a school bus driver for North Lawrence Community Schools and was a member of Park Place Church of God. He is survived by his wife; one son, Robert Wayne and his wife Annetta; one daughter-in-law, Stephani Wells; brothers, Jerry Wells and his wife Brenda, James Wells and his wife Jacque; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Wells and one grandson. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 9th at Mt. Pleasant Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday at Chastain Funeral Home.
