Eunice G. Flynn – Bedford
Eunice G. Flynn of Bedford passed away Sunday evening, August 29th at Johnson Christian Village at the age of 79. Born in 1931 in Lawrence County to Dimmien Davis and Mamie Davis, she had been married to Paul Flynn since 1949 and was a self-employed sales representative for Family Home Parties and was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene for over 45 years. She is survived by two sons, Roy Flynn and Gary Flynn; one daughter, Joyce Elkins; one sister, Alma Taylor; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Leonard, Raymond, Ralph and Paul Davis; three sisters, Kathryn Terrell, Erlene Mesarosh and Thelma Cooper. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 2nd at 11:00AM at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, September 1st at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
Mary M. Canada Craig – Bedford
Mary M. Canada Craig of Bedford passed away on Sunday, August 29th at Garden Villa at the age of 94. Born in 1916 to Welker and Louanna Wright, she had been married to Claude Canada and later to Roy Craig, was a homemaker and was a member of the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Brock; one son, Jack Canada and his wife, Mary; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one son, Olin Canada; as well as several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Silverville Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
