Otto Glenn Hamer – Mitchell
Otto Glenn Hamer of Mitchell passed away Tuesday morning, August 17th at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 91. Born in 1919 in Princeton to Otto George and Bessie Hamer, he had been married to Loetta Long since 1940. Otto was retired as a special inspector for the New York Central Railroad, was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 231 and was a Navy veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife; one son, Glen Hamer and his wife, Linda; son-in-law, Barry Clark; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Jean Clark; as well as brothers, Charles and Donald Hamer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, August 20th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hamer Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday and from 11:00AM until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 7:30PM on Thursday at the Mitchell Masonic Lodge.
Jon Benjamin Wykoff of Bedford
Jon Benjamin Wykoff of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, August 17th at I.U. Medical Center at the age of 66. Born in 1943 in Bedford to Dudley and Avis Wykoff, he had been married to Karen Wykoff since 1989. Jon was a self-employed painter and attended First Christian Church. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Misty Johnson, Christy Covey, Starr Patterson and Tina Thompson; two sons, Bradley Wykoff and Jeff Wykoff; three brothers, Dudley Wykoff, Robert Wykoff and Roger Wykoff; two sisters, Sue Wykoff and Carole Scroggins; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Wykoff and Thomas Wykoff; two sisters, Mary Robbins and Edna Berry as well as one brother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, August 20th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Friday, August 20th.
