Jennifer Kay Adcock Bex – Springville
Jennifer Kay Adcock Bex of Springville passed away Saturday evening, May 22nd at St. Vincent Impatient Hospice at the age of 46. Born in 1964 in Bedford to Phillip Allen and Shirley June Adcock, she had been married to Steven Bex for 16 years and was employed as an instructor at the Indiana Cosmetology Academy. She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Kassadra Gmachowski, Chyote Bex and Shamen Bex; one son, Garrett Houchin; one sister, Phyllis Felton and four brothers, Curtis Adcock, Dennis Adcock, Allen Adcock and Brian Adcock. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Billy Joe Adcock and two sisters, Susan Boyll and Teresa Lane. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, May 26th at Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Wednesday, May 26th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
Edra M. Gibson – Williams
Edra M. Gibson of Williams, known to friends and family as “Beulah,” passed away Friday evening, May 21st at Mitchell Manor Nursing Home at the age of 76. Born in 1933 in Bedford to Albert J. and Martha Terrell, she had been married to Charles Gibson since 1962, was a homemaker and was of Pentecostal faith. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Debbie Schofield and her husband Jimmie and Linda Reardon; three sons, Sean Gibson and his wife Juanita, Charles Gibson Jr. and Robert Ramsey; one sister, Rosetta Tipton and her husband Douglas; as well as several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, May 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Old Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, May 25th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
Robert Neil Parker – Delphi
Robert Neil Parker of Delphi, known to friends and family as “Bob,” passed away Friday afternoon, May 21st at his residence at the age of 65. Born in 1944 in Marion County to Lloyd and Gloria Adam, he was a truck driver for Morgan Trucking Company. He is survived by his children, Cindy Chapman, Gaytha Martin and Andy Gosser; one sister, Donna Adam and Randall Adam; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, May 25th at Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until 12:45PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Norman T. Root – Mitchell
Norman T. Root of Mitchell, known to friends and family as “Bud,” passed away Sunday morning, May 23rd at his residence at the age of 70. Born in 1939 in Mitchell to James and Catherine Root, he had been married to Connie Mitchell since 1959, was retired from Bedford Machine & Tool, was a former employee of Carpenter Body Works, was a barber and was a graduate of Mitchell High School in the class of 1958 and was also a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Denise Penn; one son, James Root; sisters, Carolyn Burgess and Evalyn Stitt; one brother, Charles Root; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 25th at 7:30PM in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:30PM until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will then be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday at Mitchell Cemetery.
Robert Foddrill – Bedford
Robert Foddrill of Bedford passed away Saturday evening, May 22nd at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 82. Born in 1927 in Lawrence County to Louis and Macel Foddrill, he had been married to Delores Shaffer in 1985 and later Flossie Allen sin 1986. Robert was retired from Lawrence County Beverage and Dunn Memorial Hospital, was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. He is survived by five step son, James Lee, Joe Lee, Johnny Lee, Jeffery Lee and Stephen Allen; two step-daughters, Donna Allen and Karen Mann; one brother, Danny Foddrill and his wife Linda; one sister-in-law Laveila Foddrill; three brothers-in-law Earl Goen, James Goen and Homer Goen; as well as several aunts, uncles and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first and second wife; one brother, Albert Foddrill and one uncle, Dale Rainey. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, May 26th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home will military rites accorded graveside by American Legion Gillen Post #33. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, May 25th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
