The following death notices were received on Monday.


Randy Baker – Shoals
Randy Baker of Shoals passed away Friday morning at his home at the age of 50. Born in 1959 in Lawrence County to Harry and Deloris Baker, he was married to Carolyn and they recently celebrated 20 years together. He was employed by Lee’s Roofing. He is survived by his wife, daughter Cherish, sons Randy Jr. and Nathan, one granddaughter, a step granddaughter, two grandsons, brothers Harry Jr. and Ricky and sister Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday at Trinity Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow at House of Prayer Cemetery in Fayetteville, visitation is from 11am to 1:30pm at the church.
Robert Ray – Bedford
Robert Ray of Bedford passed away Sunday morning at his home at the age of 72. Born in 1937 in Bedford to Daniel and Bertha, he married his wife Shirley in 2005. He was retired from GM Powertrain and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107 and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 654. He is survived by his wife, sons Jim and Tim, daughters Kelli and Bobbie Jo, step children Greg, Kevin, Angie and Shawna, four grandchildren, four step grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sisters Margie and Wanda, and brothers Warren and Louis. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Benjamin. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday at Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow at Green Hll Cemetery. Visitation is from 9am until time of the service at the funeral home.
Dennis Deckard – Bedford
Dennis Deckard of Bedfrod passed away Saturday morning at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 58. Born in 1951 in Lawrence County to Dale and Virigina Deckard, he married Jonna in 1989. Dennis was a retired mechanical engineering technician and member of the National Guard, Outdoor Sportsman Club and NRA. He is survived by his wife, mother, son Brandon, daughter Whitney, step son Jerod, 4 grandchildren, brother Terry, and sister Sheila. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1pm at Ferguson Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Dive Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8pm at Ferguson Lee.
