George A. Brinegar of Bedford passed away Wednesday morning, December 16th at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation at the age of 95.
Born in 1914 in Lawrence County, Indiana to parents, Marion Brinegar and Emma Allen Brinegar, he had been married to Roxis Thompson since 1937, was the retired owner of George’s Gateway which he opened in 1958.
George was a WWI army veteran and member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. He is survived by one son, Aaron J. Brinegar; one daughter, Pari Combs and her husband David; five grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Eva Jones and Bernice Leonard as well as one brother, Irvan H. Brinegar.
A private graveside service was held on Thursday, December 17th at Beech grove Cemetery.
