William Michael Riley of Mitchell passed away Wednesday morning, December 9th at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 72.
Born in 1937 in Indianapolis to parents Cecil and Helen (Kelly) Riley and was raised in the home of Claude and Ivy Fiddler, William was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250, Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107 and Abate and was also a graduate of Tunnelton High School.
He is survived by one son, William Michael Riley Jr. and his wife Danita; one grandson; sisters, Karan Wright and Anna Harrison.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Zella Rose Reynolds.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, December 14th at Dixon Chapel Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Was Post No. 9107.
Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 6:00PM on Sunday, December 13th at Chastain Funeral Home.
