Marvin Ray Knight of Orleans passed away Tuesday morning, November 24th at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 66.
Born in 1943 in Lawrence County to parents Otis Leland Knight and Francis Juanita (Wray) Knight he had been married to Sheila Blanton since 1954, was a retired heavy equipment operator and a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Johnny Ray Knight and his wife Robin, Travis Knight and his wife Bridget; two daughters, Bonita Johnson and Tonya Morgan; nine grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Knight and his wife Lois; one sister, Wanda Grigson and her husband Paul.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Knight.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28th at 10:00AM at Ferguson – Lee Haverly Chapel with burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, November 27th at Ferguson – Lee Haverly Chapel.
