Brian Humphrey, 52, Springville

Brian Dale Humphrey of Springville passed away Monday afternoon at his residence at the age of 52.


Born in 1957 in Indianapolis to parents Dale and Peggy (Armstrong) Humphrey, he had been married to Tawnya Wagner since 2008.
Brian was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School in the class of 1975, a graduate of Purdue University in 1979, was a self-employed farmer and Agronomist for the North Lawrence Commnity Schools, was a member of the Springville Feeder Auction Board of Directors serving as its President and manager from 1987 until 2004, a member of the Lawrence County Cattleman’s Association, Lowder Cemetery Board and the Indiana Board of Animal Health Advisory Board which is appointed by the Governor.
He was a member of various Lawrence County 4-H Clubs and served as the leader of the Sheep Club. He is survived by his wife; his mother; three daughters, Holly Carpenter and her husband Kyle; Samantha Humphrey; Gretchen Boshears and her husband Jason; one son, Chance Humphrey and his wife Becki; one brother, Craig Allen Humphrey and his wife Cindy; one sister, Carol Lee Anthony and her husband Dave; seven grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Jesse French and her husband Ryan, Nikki Miller and her husband Andrew; one step-son, Josh Wagner and his wife Tanya; one brother-in-law, Brett Wagner; one sister-in-law, Bob Wagner; mother-in-law, Vonda Wagner; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Lowder Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, November 6th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
