Emory “Bud” Earl Edwards, 79, Bedford

Emory Earl Edwards, known to friends and family as “Bud” of Bedford passed away Wednesday afternoon at his home at the age of 79.


Born is 1930 in Orange County, Indiana to parents David Henry and Nellie Belle (Smith) Edwards, Emory had been married to Joan Endris since October 22nd.
He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife; six children, Vernon Edwards and his wife Cheryl, Vicki Edwards Starr, Bev Saunders and her husband Paul, Donna George and her husband Darin; Brad Endris and his wife Shannon, Dana Sasser and her husband Adam; twelve grandchildren, Amanda Hall, Tiffany Edwards, Josh Holt, Dustin George, Brittany Edwards, Leslie Saunders, Derek George, Thomas Suanders, Corey Endris, Zachary Sasser, Dylan Endris, Isaiah Sasser; two sisters, Bonnie Conley and Mary Summers.
He is preceded in death by eight brothers, Raymond Edwards, Robert Edwards, Lther Edwards, Lloyd Sanders, Clyde Sanders, William Sanders, Raymond Sanders and Menlo Sanders; two sisters Hazel Smith and Avis Flora.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:00AM at Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation is Friday from 3:00PM until 8:00PM and on Saturday from 9:00AM until the hour of service at Day & Carter Mortuary.
