Shirley Mitchell of Mitchell passed away Sunday morning at Bloomington Hospital at the age of 52.
Born in 1956 in Danville, Illinois to Robert and Ruth Ferris, Shirley worked at the Veterans Administration, WorkOne, and Bloomington Hospital of Orange County, and was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Bedford Boat & Sportsman’s Club, and the La-Or-Ma Shrine Club.
She is survived by her father, husband Rick, sons Jason and James, daughter Jennifer, brother Robert, sisters Sue and Lisa, and 2 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
Services will be held Friday morning at 10:00am at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow Friday afternoon at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Thursday at Day & Carter Mortuary.
