Carl W. Stone of Bedford passed away Thursday night at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 73.
Born in 1935 in Martin County to Rafael and Ophia Stone, Carl was a retired meter reader with Public Service and a member of Hillcrest Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Mildred, son Jeff, sister Mary, 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Becky, and brother Russell.
Services will be held this afternoon at 2:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Lawrenceport Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service today at Day & Carter.
