Phyllis June Chavis of Springville passed away Sunday night at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington at the age of 67.
Born in 1940 to Charles and Fronia Jones, Phyllis was an employee at Experience Works in Bedford and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her daughters Diana, Sheila and Angela, son Jack, brother Charles, sisters Bonnie and Janet, 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clifford, Doyle, Darel and Ralph and one grandson.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Hilltop Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00pm tomorrow at Day & Carter.
