John A. Atchison of Mitchell passed away early Thursday morning at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford at the age of 70.
Born in 1937 in Lawrence County to Hubert and Georgie Atchison, John was a drywall contractor and member of Bryantsville Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sons John and Darrell, brothers Peanut, James and Kenneth, sister Dorothy and 3 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00am at Bryantsville Cemetery with burial to follow.
No visitation hours have been scheduled.
