Mary Alice Tirey of Bedford passed away Wednesday morning at the age of 78.
Born in 1930 in Lawrence County to Sam and Merlene Cobb, Mary was a homemaker and member of Oolitic Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband John, daughter Susan, sister Frances, 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jim and Walter and sister Esther.
Graveside services will be held this afternoon at 2:30pm at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with burial to follow.
No visitation has been scheduled.
