Verna P. Blackburn of Greenwood know to family and friends as Bud, passed away yesterday morning at his home at the age of 88.
Born in 1920 in Bedford to Homer and Isabella Blackburn, Bud was retired from Allison Transmission in Indianapolis.
He is survived by son Paul, daughter Pamela, sister Thelma, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Marilyn.
Services will be held tomorrow at 1 pm at Cresthaven Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation is tomorrow from 11 am to 1 pm at Cresthaven.
