Mary Jane Mathews of Bedford passed away Monday night at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 84.
Born in 1924 in Lawrence County to William and Mable Embree, Mary was a wife and mother and member of American Legion Auxiliary, Mitzi Club and AARP.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth, son Jerry, daughter Kristie, sister Frances, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at White River Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Ferguson-Lee.
