Robert W. Short of Bedford passed away Sunday at his home at the age of 85.
Born in 1923 in Bedford to Carl and Jess Short, Robert was best known as an attorney and president of Bedford Federal Savings Bank, as well as an Air Force veteran of World War II, city attorney in Bedford, and alum of Indiana University.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, son Carl, daughters Julia, and Laura, sister Martha, 1 grandson, and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford with a private family service to take place at a later date.
