Rowland O. Bates of Bedford passed away Saturday night at Core Nursing Home in Bedford at the age of 69.
Born in 1938 in Bedford to William and Lucile Bates, Rowland was a retired horse trainer, employee at Elliott Limestone and attendee with the Bedford Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife Virginia and brother Russell.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald.
Graveside services will be held at Cresthaven Memory Gardens tomorrow at 11:30am.
No visitation is scheduled.
