Derek D. Harrison of Mitchell passed away Friday morning at his home at the age of 47.
Born in 1960 in Bedford to Robert and Margaret Harrison, Derek was a registered respiratory therapist at Bloomington Hospital, Marine Corps veteran and member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post 250.
He is survived by his wife Jyl, daughter Andrea, sons Nathan and Eric, father Robert, brother Darren, sister Lori and 4 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret and step-son Ronald, Jr.
Services will be held tomorrow morning at 11:00am at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
