Dale F. “Red” Miller, 95, Bedford

Dale F. Miller, of Bedford, known to friends and family as “Red,” passed away Saturday afternoon at Garden Villa in Bedford at the age of 95.


Born in 1912 in Bedford to Elmer and Pearl Miller, Red retired from Tool and Die at NSWC Crane and also from farming, was a Navy veteran of World War II, member of American Legion Gillen Post 33 and was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Marilyn, sister Marjorie, 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Frances, sister Thelma, and brothers Bill and Don.
Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be tomorrow evening from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Day & Carter.
