Vernon Darrell Sergent of Mitchell passed away yesterday afternoon at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 55.
Born in 1951 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to Morris and Mattie Sergent, Vernon was a retired truck driver for Rumpke and member of Bride of Christ Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife, Nelva, daughters Pamela, Caroline and Sandra, 4 sisters, 7 brothers, and 8 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda.
Services will be held Friday evening at 7:00pm at Bride of Christ Fellowship with burial to follow at Port William cemetery at a later date as cremation was chosen.
