BEDFORD – For many community members of Lawrence County, obtaining their High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma seems like an unobtainable dream as the “traditional” class style could take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
The LCEGC offered a fast-paced, 3-day “Bootcamp” class for the 2nd time this year and 5 participants achieved their diplomas to bring the total to 15 community members making their dreams a reality.
The boot camp was sponsored by Duke Energy and the Lawrence County Community Foundation was deemed a success by Joe Timbrook, Director of Career Development at the LCEGC.
“To have so many graduates in just a few short days is amazing,” added Timbrook. “We are excited to offer this HSE Bootcamp opportunity to the community again in the near future!”
