BEDFORD – The Bedford Board of Works and Safety approved two minor subdivisions and accepted a quote to update the exterior of Bedford City Hall.
The first property, located at 2435 I Street, was first introduced during the May Board of Zoning and Appeals meeting to split one parcel into two separate plots. There is currently a house and detached garage, with the latter being converted into a single-family residence.
The request had made its way through the Zoning Board of Appeals, Plan Commission, and the City Council, before being accepted during the Tuesday meeting.
The next property, located at 2747 Washington Avenue is requesting to be separated into two parcels to separate the house and the business owned by Johnny & Janet Fiddler. This was approved by the board.
Lastly, the board had received bids to re-paint and replace shutters at city hall at 1102 16th Street from McIntyre Bros. and Umphress Masonry Inc. The board awarded the bid from Umphress Masonry Inc for $170,000 as it was the only bid to meet the qualifications needed to perform the upgrades.
