Verna Jean Snider Moore, 84 of Bedford, Indiana, formerly of Seymour, went to be with the love of her life, Donald C. Moore on April 8, 2022.
She was born March 31, 1938, in Marietta, Ohio to Gerald Bernard and Caroline Naomi Snider. She married Donald Charles Moore on August 31, 1957, in Medora. She loved sewing, quilting, and crafting. In her 84 years, she accomplished many projects. She also enjoyed time with her family. She was a devoted member and along with her husband, Don was one of the few founding members left at Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour. Verna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald C. Moore, son-in-law, Timothy Coffelt, a great-grandson, Landon Singer, and brother-in-law, Rex Allen.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her children, Richard (Beth Carmer) Moore, Carolyn Coffelt, and Beth (Trever) Singer, sister, Kathy Allen, brothers, Carl Snider and Harold (Dottie) Snider. She is also survived by grandchildren, Shannon (Kelly) Buck, Shane (Crystal) Steel, Cyndy Coffelt (Justin) Kirby, Laura Jean Coffelt (David) Wilson, Rebekah Coffelt (David Egler), Brandon (Samantha) Singer, Ethan (Heather) Singer, Lucas (Mackenzie) Singer and Clinten (Kaela) Singer and great-grandchildren, Jaleigh, Jalob, and Kolton Buck, Shayle, Shylee, and Griffen Steel, Timothy Kirby, Leah Wilson, Lavani Wilson, Robert Moothery, Gracie, Ty, Wade, Robert, Annabell, Lynlee Jean and Lena Mae Singer.
Friends may visit Verna’s family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2021, at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, Indiana 47274. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Mark McClintock officiating.
